This policy explains how We Love Local Guides Ltd (trading as We Love Local Tours) (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We are the “data controller” for the information described here.

What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: your name and email address, and the fact and time of your consent.
- Enquiries: anything you include when you email us (e.g. partner, creator or sponsor enquiries).
- Usage data: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised information about how you use the site (see our Cookie Policy).
How and why we use it
- To send you our newsletter and launch news — based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To respond to your enquiries — based on our legitimate interests in answering people who contact us.
- To understand and improve the site — based on your consent to analytics cookies.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, under contract and only as needed:
- Resend — email delivery and our newsletter list.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved data transfer mechanisms) are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@welovelocaltours.com. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the latest version.
